Generations of packaging expertise.
Industry Challenges.
“In 2016-17, the Australian economy generated or imported 68,900 tonnes of waste” - Australian Bureau of Statistics, September 2019.
Majority of immediate waste after a purchase will be the packaging materials that was used to help transport the product safely to the end user. It has fulfilled its purpose and thus ends it’s life cycle.
However, could we extend that life cycle? Can we recycle this packaging material? What is the difference between Biodegradable and Compostable? What are my options to reduce my packaging wastes?
Gekcopak can offer free consultation on your packaging challenges.
G.E.K. & Co
Family.
Having been brought up by a generation manufacturing corrugated cardboard cartons that later extended to plastic recycling, the husband and wife team wanted to share their knowledge and expertise in helping local businesses solve their packaging challenges.
Gekcopak is passionate about giving our future generations a better environment by providing our customers sustainable packaging solutions.
Fun fact: While the name ‘Gekco’, is a wrong spelling of the gecko (incorporated into our logo to symbolise our passion for the environment), it is a make up of the owners children’s first initials (Gabriel, Evan, & Krysten) & Company.
